We represent children’s literature: picture books, chapter books, middle grade, and young adult fiction. We love strong voice, clear hooks, and heart.

Email a query to agent@theinkraven.com with a short pitch and your first 10 pages pasted in the email. Picture books may be sent in full. Author–illustrators can include a link to a portfolio.

No. We never charge reading or editing fees. We work on commission only.

If a publisher offers a deal and pays money to you through the agency, we take 15 percent of those payments for domestic rights. You receive the remaining 85 percent. For foreign, film, or audio rights, commission may be higher if a co-agent is involved. We will spell out all terms in the agency agreement.

Only when a publisher pays you. We deduct our commission from the publisher’s payment and pass the rest to you with a statement. No payment to you means no payment to us.

Our goal is 2 to 4 weeks. You may follow up after the 4 week window.

Yes. Simultaneous submissions are fine. If another agent offers, please let us know so we can respond quickly.
